Nuwa Textiles recently introduced a patent pending coating called NuHyde, increasing abrasion resistance in fabric by over 450% of conventional polyurethane coatings. When fabric yarns are fused with NuHyde treatment, its high viscosity content creates an additional puncture-resistant barrier on the surface of the fabric without compromising the existing tear and tensile strength of the original fabric. No stranger to innovation, the textile company previously developed NuWash, a proprietary hybrid fiber design that creates a stonewashed finish effect.
Nuwa was originally founded by a mission to simply produce fabrics more responsibly. The company generally chooses recycled fabrics and during the manufacturing process, recycles water, reduces chemical usage and cuts carbon emissions.
