According to Mpora's new Surf Forecasting platform, the best surf in North America today was at the Klamath River mouth in Northern California. Surf Forecasting is the latest development by Factory Media to help secure Mpora.com as Europe's largest Action Sports website.
The platform forecasts swell height, swell direction and period, wind, and weather outlook for all the major surfing locations around the globe. A star rating system and an email alert function let users easily find out if conditions are optimum at their favorite surf spots up to 72 hours in advance. Similar to Mpora's embedded video player, each surf forecast can be embedded in external sites or blogs.
It's a great feature enhancement for Mpora members but how does the detailed forecast compare to other sites? Both surf-forecast.com and magicseaweed show a dramatically different forecast for Klamath River. So who's right? Which surf forecasts do you depend on?
