Deuter Neosphere Flexible Down Sleeping Bag

Deuter Neosphere flexible down sleeping bag

If you are a thrasher like me when you sleep, you will be excited about Deuter's new Neosphere down sleeping bag for 2011. An updated, down version of the popular Exosphere synthetic sleeping bag, the Neosphere will help you sleep comfortably through those cold, cramped conditions.

The Deuter Neosphere is a down sleeping bag that is spacious yet snug at the same time. Similar to the Exosphere synthetic bag, the new Neosphere features Deuter's unique Thermo Stretch Comfort system with an elastic seam construction on the inside. The lining thus hugs your body closely but allows you to toss and turn without feeling restricted as it expands up to 25% in width.

The snug fit means there are no additional air pockets to warm up causing you to lose unnecessary energy. The shell of the down sleeping bag has a roomy cut to keep the loft of the down and enhance insulation by providing more space for the down to expand. This stretchiness supposedly improves the insulation properties by 2ºC over other down sleeping bags.

The Deuter Neosphere is filled with quality goose down which is evenly distributed throughout the bag thanks to the trapezoid chamber construction. The Ergo Foot section gets an extra thick down fill in three chambers and the snug-fitting adjustable hood seals out the cold around your head.

The Neosphere down sleeping bag will come in three models (-4ºC, -8ºC, -14ºC) with two different sizes (regular and XL). All bags feature a water resistant, windproof outer and an extra soft, moisture wicking, breathable liner. A zipped inner pocket lets you store your nighttime essentials and a compression sack helps you fit the bag into your pack for the day.
