Vitamin Water For Dogs. Really?!

Vitamin Water For Dogs

I will be the first to admit that I regularly spoil my dog Lola. I think I may have to draw the line at vitamin water for dogs however. Petrol is a drink made specifically for dogs, formulated by a veterinary nutrition expert. Meant to be a hydrating, nutritious dog treat, the company claims your dog will prefer drinking Petrol 4-1 over regular water.

At only 8 calories per can, Petrol is made from 100% reverse osmosis water, natural flavoring, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Niacin, Biotin, and L-Carnitine. The last ingredient, L-Carnitine, is used in some pet foods designed for animals with heart disease or weight issues. I personally would be a bit wary about giving it to my healthy young dog- but that's me.

Petrol dog hydration

Petrol has also launched a canine specific hydration bottle for when you are out adventuring with your dog. The reusable bottle comes with a carabiner for attaching to your belt or pack and an easy to use roller ball spout for quick and efficient lap-ability by your dog.

A 12 can pack of Petrol retails for $36 and a 24 pack for $72. The dog hydration bottle retails for $19.99, 30% of which goes to The Ryan Newman Foundation for support of pet related charities.

So what do you think- would you buy Petrol for your dog?
