Similar in concept to the Throwable Panoramic Ball but much more practical, the new Tamaggo 360-imager is the first consumer device with fully integrated panomorph technology, enabling you to capture 360º navigable images instantly. With just one click, you can capture not only what is in front of you, but what is behind, above, and even below you.
The egg shaped Tamaggo 360-imager weighs only 7 oz and fits in the palm of your hand. No need to worry about focusing or what is in the frame, as the 14MP image sensor will capture everything.
Unlike current 360º image makers, the Tamaggo does not require optical add-ons, nor does it require rotation in order to capture multiple images to be stitched together later. The integrated ImmerVision software does all of the image processing instantly.
The Tamaggo 360-imager operates in four orientations: Sky 360, Ground 360, horizontal panorama or vertical panorama. Position sensors within the device know if you plan to capture 360º images or if you would like to shoot panoramic images. You can even capture yourself in the image by holding the device in a certain position, or using the integrated stand that automatically triggers a delay-timer for remote image capture.
The resulting 360º images can be uploaded either via USB or wirelessly (WiFi/Bluetooth) for you and your friends to discover the surrounding scene during your adventure. You can pan around and zoom in and out, looking at different details within your image, seeing what was above, below and even behind you when the shot was taken. You can even crop scenes into high quality pictures to be printed later.
The Tamaggo 360-imager will start shipping in March and retail for under $200.
