Where the RCX5 was designed specifically for triathletes, the new Polar RCX3 is built more for the everyday runner or cyclist. With many of the same features, the smaller and lighter RCX3 training computer will help you prepare for any event or simply keep track of your daily workout performance.
The RCX3 packs in many of the same features as the RCX5, apart from some of those that are more race specific, such as HeartTouch button free operation, Race Pace, and time or distance based intervals. However, the RCX3 does include personalized sport zones to help you train at the right intensity and instant feedback on your training performance after a workout.
Compatible accessories include the s3+ Stride Sensor W.I.N.D., G3 GPS Sensor W.I.N.D., G5 GPS Sensor, CS Speed Sensor W.I.N.D., and CS Cadence Sensor W.I.N.D. With the DataLink data transfer unit, you can upload your daily workouts to Polarpersonaltrainer.com to further analyze or share with your friends.
The RCX3 comes in white or black, with 4 different package combinations: base, Bike, Run, and GPS. Each package contains a WearLink+ transmitter W.I.N.D., while the last three include sensors relevant to each highlighted activity.
The Polar RCX3 will start shipping in April, with base package prices starting at €200 or around $270.
