Designed with the urban cyclist in mind, the Levi's Commuter Series has everything you need to protect you from the elements while looking good at the same time. Gearing up for spring, the new Commuter collection expands on the original 511 Commuter Jeans and Commuter Trucker Jacket with three new styles, all featuring the same performance details you have come to expect.
The 511 Commuter Trousers ($78) apply the same Nanosphere Technology to the new twill fabric for water resistance, dirt repellency, and odor protection. A raised back minimizes the chance of showing off too much skin, while a reinforced crotch gusset protects against ripping. The utility waistband makes storing your U-Lock a breeze and reflective tape on the interior cuff adds some visibility when rolled up.
The Commuter Hooded Trucker Jacket ($128) is made from a black twill, water resistant, and dirt repellent Nanosphere Technology treated fabric. Adjustable side tabs feature strips of 3M Scotchlite reflective tape. A nylon hood stays concealed in your collar until you need to pull it out for a little extra wind and rain protection. The extended tail and sleeves provide additional coverage from the weather.
Finally, the new cotton Commuter Workshirt ($88) is treated with Schoeller's 3XDRY technology for sweat absorption as well as water and stain repellency. Ventilation in the back and under your arms helps to keep you cool while you ride. Utility pockets on the sleeve and back will hold your mini U-Lock, phone, wallet, or keys for the commute.
The Levi's Spring 2012 Commuter Series is available now. I just have one question for Levi's- when are we going to see a women's Commuter Series?
