Watch out Ouray, CO, you are about to be invaded by a bunch of fabulous women. If you are a female ice climber or even just want to hang out with an entire town full of amazing women for the weekend, plan on heading to Ouray over March 8-10, 2013.
Spurred on by climber extraordinaire and Mountain Hardwear athlete Dawn Glanc, the Ouray Ice Park will be hosting Fem Fest, a women's ice climbing festival planned for March 8-10, 2013. This is an opportunity for all of us women to come together to support each other and simply have fun ice climbing together.
In addition to all the climbing, there will be fun social events held in town throughout the weekend. The legendary Kitty Calhoun will present a slide show on Friday night and Saturday night at 7:00pm, Ouray Mountain Sports will showcase the latest in outwear and casual wear from the biggest outdoor labels at the Fem Fest Fashion Show. Plus, one lucky woman will receive a full ice climbing kit makeover.
