For quite some time, Eddie Bauer has sold shoes from brands such as Merrell, KEEN, Teva, and Wolverine to round out their outdoor apparel and gear offering. Following on the heels of the new fishing line, the company announced last week that they are taking the leap into footwear, with a full collection set to debut in Fall 2014.
The fall footwear collection includes six men’s and seven women’s styles. The base of the collection is the Full Circuit, available in both men’s and women’s styles. Weighing 11 oz., this trail shoe features an InsoFit Pro polyurethane footbed with stabilizing heel cup and MidLite Pro PU midsole for extra cushioning and stability. The SportGrip Pro carbon rubber outsole offers superior grip over all types of terrain.
The Eddie Bauer footwear collection will also feature two versions of a streamlined, lightweight hiker for both men and women – the Lukla and Lukla Pro. At 10 oz., the Lukla features a similar footbed and midsole to the Full Circuit, but with a MultiPitch Pro outsole — an exclusive lug design using Vibram XS Trek rubber compound for extra durability. The Lukla Pro adds WeatherEdge PRO, a 20k/20k waterproof/breathable membrane lining, to help keep your feet dry in wet trail conditions.
Eddie Bauer adds a smattering of casual styles to the fall footwear collection, and in the winter, will expand with more performance oriented boots. The new Eddie Bauer Footwear collection officially launches July 28, 2014 in both stores and on the website.
