A bit like the European equivalent of SkyMall, the Pro-Idee Concept Store is chock full of interesting outdoor products curated from across the globe. From VW camper van tents and picnic trolleys to handheld weather stations, you could spend hours trolling through the pages when bored.
Apart from a spork, one of the more difficult things to bring backpacking is a full cutlery set. Pro-Idee stumbled upon a compact solution to ensure you have everything you need in the palm of your hand.
Weighing only 2.7 oz., a 5 1/2" or 9 cm key fob hides a fully functioning knife, spoon, fork, and bottle opener. Simply squeeze the plastic casing to first remove the bottle opener, where beneath you will find the interlocking cutlery set.
The cutlery is made from stainless steel, while the bottle opener is made from zinc alloy. The Pro-Idee cutlery set comes with an elastic 40cm (15 7⁄10") nylon strap to attach to your backpack so you never forget it.
This compact cutlery does not exactly come cheap at £29.50 (~$50) plus shipping, compared to a titanium spork at less than $10. But maybe that extra money is worth the cool factor bragging rights?
