Two cords. One sole. That’s all KEEN needed to create UNEEK—a uniquely crafted, comfortable shoe perfect for summer.
In order to take a completely different approach to footwear design, KEEN first forgot everything they knew about shoes and started from scratch. Building off a conventional lightweight PU midsole base with a few small sections of upper to hold everything together, the UNEEK sandal uses one longer cord woven around your foot, with another smaller cord in the secure fit lacing system. That’s all that is needed for a comfortable shoe that molds perfectly to your feet.
The free-moving cord junction design allows the upper to move and adapt with you, while providing security and structure at the same time. The midsole features a metatomical footbed with a microfiber cover. The durable, non-marking rubber outsole uses razor siping for improved traction over slick terrain.
Although you won’t be able to throw these in the washing machine should they get dirty, you can hand wash with cold water and a mild soap. To remove excess dirt or spot clean, use a stiff brush or soft cloth.
