Drink A Pint From The Top Of Half Dome

North Drinkware

What can be cooler than drinking your favorite craft brew from the top of a mountain? Now you can do so pretty much every day. North Drinkware releases the latest in their mountain pint glass collection–the California Pint, with a complete replica of Half Dome at the base.

You may remember North Drinkware from their overwhelmingly successful Kickstarter campaign for the original Oregon Pint. The project goal was $15,000, which was planned to fund the production tooling, equipment and the first large run of glasses. Not much of a surprise, the Oregon Pint surpassed $15,000 in 5 hours and 15 minutes, 200% funded in 28 hours, 2000% funded in five days, 5000 backers at 24 days and the campaign closed at 3,543% funded by 5,620 backers totaling $531,581–pretty crazy.

With all that money, North Drinkware had the opportunity to locally produce over 13,000 glasses with their partners at Elements Glass and fund their vision to produce other state glasses with other mountains that have a vibrant craft beer and outdoor scene. The California Pint now joins the Oregon Pint and the Washington Pint in the continually expanding collection.

The California Pint is a handblown, 16-ounce pint glass with USGS data of majestic Half Dome in Yosemite National Park molded into the base of the glass. Made in Portland, Oregon all the North Drinkware glasses are lead-free and dishwasher safe.

As all the glasses are handmade one-of-a-kind products, you may notice slight variations between them. Each pint glass comes packaged individually and wrapped in custom topo map newsprint.

You can order the California Pint ($45) or any of the other mountain pint glasses from the North Drinkware website. Needless to say, these would make pretty cool gifts for anyone into the outdoors.
