A Full Rain Suit For Shoulder Season Mountain Biking

Moab Rain Suit

German company Vaude always comes up with the best rainwear for the bike. A few years back, there were the cool rain pants that looked like jeans. Now, the company gets set to release a full jumpsuit for wet and muddy mountain bike riding.

On display at Eurobike last week, Vaude’s Moab Rain Suit is the mountain biker’s answer to the skier’s onesie. There is nothing worse than a wet and muddy chamois so when the skies open up and your favorite trails turn into a quagmire of goop, just throw this jumpsuit on.

Moab Rain Suit

This 2.5-layer rain suit weighs practically nothing and packs up small enough to stow in a small hydration pack. Designed with warm seasonal conditions in mind, the jumpsuit comes as a short-sleeve version with articulated legs that extend just over the knee. It features waterproof zips, a large chest pocket for your phone, and a Velcro adjustment at the waist to make it as tight or loose as you want around the middle.

The face fabric material is certified according to the strict bluesign® system environmental standard, while the PFC-free Ceplex Green membrane is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. VAUDE uses up to 25% recycled or bio-based materials for its membrane production, and the environmentally friendly, water-repellent Eco Finish treatment on the outside is 100% free of all harmful fluorocarbons (PFC-free).

When you get home, simply hose it off and hang to dry. When it gets really dirty, wash as you would any other rain jacket or piece of technical apparel.

The Vaude Moab Rain Suit will retail for 200 euro and start shipping in February.
