Crescent Moon Adds Aluminum Cleats to Foam Snowshoes

Crescent Moon

At Outdoor Retailer this week, Crescent Moon will show off the next version (V2) of the original Eva All-Foam Snowshoe. Version 2 includes the addition of aluminum cleats to compliment the “tri-star clusters” in the TPU traction plate, creating a versatile snowshoe that can help you access more technical terrain.

If you recall, the original all-foam snowshoe design uses a dual-density EVA foam to form a rocker-shaped platform with tire-tread-like lugs for extra traction. At 23 inches long and 8 inches wide, the snowshoes are lightweight yet sturdy and reliable.

The tops of the all-foam snowshoes are cushioned and cradled, making them comfortable on even the hardest, roughest surfaces, with a simple hook and loop system of straps to secure your foot.

“The original Eva All-Foam was designed for day hikers, runners, novices to enthusiasts, and anyone looking for an easy, unique snowshoe experience.” says Jake Thamm, Crescent Moon’s co-founder and president. “Version 2 of the Eva All-Foams adds even more features to the snowshoe to make it more versatile and durable in a variety of terrains. The idea has always been to make snowshoeing accessible to everyone, and with the Eva All-Foam V2 you’ll be able to go anywhere your legs, and heart, can take you.”

The Eva All-Foam Snowshoe V2 is expected to weigh about the same as the original even with the metal addition. While not yet finalized, the expected retail price is targeted between $179 and $189 per pair. Expect these to drop next fall.
