Küat Caters to Snow Sports Market With New GRIP Rack

Known for their innovative bike and cargo racks, Küat now wants to help you get your ski and snowboard gear safely to and from the mountain. The new GRIP line of racks comfortably fits anywhere from four to six sets of large skis or two to four snowboards, depending on model and size.

The GRIP rack uses sheets of thermoplastic rubber (similar to what you find on mountain bike grips) to safely hold boards and skis of varying widths and sizes. The rubber is housed in a durable all metal shell, creating a rack that both looks stylish and can remain on the top of your car all winter.

The GRIP rack sits on a slide-out system so you can load your skis and boards without climbing on top of wheel wells or opening car doors. The flip up top clamps down into place and you can lock it to keep your gear secure on the car for après time.

The GRIP rack utilizes Küat standard Flip mount system to fit both factory and aftermarket crossbars universally while maintaining a low, aerodynamic profile. You’ll also find locking points on the vehicle attachment points to further keep both gear and rack secure.

The GRIP racks come in two sizes to accommodate four or six pairs of skis, two or four snowboards, or any combination. The four-ski model has a suggested retail price of $319; the six-model will retail for $349. Available for Fall 2018, the GRIP will be offered in gray with Küat’s trademark orange accent, but more colorways may be released in the future.
