DZR Introduces Limited Edition Bikepacking Shoe

DZR S240 LTD

San Francisco-based DZR believes all your bike-centric footwear should be stylish. Whether you’re simply commuting, touring, road cycling, mountain biking or now even bikepacking. The brand’s new limited-edition S240 LTD will take you from the office on Friday straight to the trail for that weekend bikepacking trip.

S240 is a term coined by Grant Peterson of Rivendell Bicycle Works. It’s an acronym for Sub 24hr Overnighter.

With the S240 LTD, DZR’s signature recessed cleats make it easy to hop off the bike and run into the store for supplies or roll into your campsite for dinner under the stars. A lightweight leather is used for the construction of this shoe. The material is tough, breathable, and breaks in like a good pair of work gloves.

The natural gum rubber sole is durable and sticky, providing great grip on a variety of surfaces. The full length nylon midsole shank is designed with a varying level of strategically mapped stiffness so you get both power transfer while pedaling and flexibility in the toe box while walking.

Other S240 LTD features include a reflective heel badge and link traction tread geometry.

The DZR S240 LTD bikepacking shoes retail for $149 and are available now. Even though they are marketed as a bikepacking shoe, I think they look cool enough for everyday commuting shoes that you could wear around the office all day.
