Therm-a-Rest Creates Lightest Sleeping Pad Yet

The OutDoor Show kicked off in Germany over the weekend with lots of shiny new gear on display. Therm-a-Rest had their latest sleeping pad on show that will appeal to the fast and light set — whether you’re an alpinist, a thru hiker, or a bikepacker.

The new NeoAir UberLite is the latest sleeping pad in the Therm-a-Rest Fast & Light category. Weighing in at just 250 grams (for the Regular length — almost 100 grams lighter than the NeoAir XLite), this sleeping pad packs down smaller than any other in the lineup.

With an R-Value of 2.0, the UberLite uses the same Triangular Core Matrix two layer baffle construction as the other NeoAir sleeping pads but without the extra ThermaCapture reflective layer. This may indicate that the UberLite will sound less like a potato chip bag as you roll around than others.

The air-insulated sleeping pad offer 6.4 cm of comfort between you and the ground – a similar thickness to the NeoAir XTherm. So, you get the same level of comfort in a featherweight package suitable for summer adventures where warmth isn’t such a huge issue (Therm-a-Rest claims summer sleeping pads sit in the 0-2 R-Value range).

The Therm-a-Rest UberLite comes in three lengths — Regular, Small, Large — and will start shipping in time for your adventures during Summer 2019.
