Granite Gear Adds Three New Daypacks to Lineup

Granite Gear Scurry

Granite Gear, best know for their lightweight backpacking packs, will add three new daypacks to their Spring 2020 lineup. Called the Scurry, Dagger, and Shovel Point, these 22 to 28 liter packs comfortably carry everything you need for those done-in-a-day activities.

Each of the new daypacks features an internal sleeve in the main compartment to keep your hydration reservoir separate from the rest of your gear. A hydration port enables you to run your hydration hose to either backpack strap. A foam padded back panel and padded shoulder straps make for comfortable carry, while the adjustable sternum strap and webbing waist belt let you dial in the fit. Trekking pole loops and side compression straps round out the common features.

The Scurry ($84.95, pictured top) weighs just 1.1 pounds and offers up 24 liters of storage space in the roll-top main compartment. A secondary zippered front pocket provides a secure storage spot for your phone, wallet, and other small items, while two stretch woven side pockets enable you to carry water bottles or extra gear.

Granite Gear Dagger

The 22-liter Dagger ($99.95) with zippered main compartment adds a removable frame sheet to help distribute the weight of the pack down to the hips. Other features include a large front pocket with bungee attachment cord, two large mesh side pockets, and a quick-stash pocket at the top of the 1.5-pound pack.

Granite Gear Shovel Point

The Shovel Point ($119.95) is the largest of the new daypacks at 28 liters with a zippered main compartment and secondary zippered compartment. The front panel expands to stash extra gear like a helmet, and acts as compression when not in use.  The two-pound pack also uses a removable frame sheet to help disperse heavier loads and adds a zippered pocket on the beefier waist belt.

The new Granite Gear daypacks will start shipping next spring.
