We’ve all been there, daydreaming at our desk about all the things we would rather be doing if only we had the time and money to do so. Well now a couple of brands are trying to make the decision that much easier for you, by giving you the money you need to quit (or take a break from) your job and pursue something you are more passionate about.
The folks at Prana are looking for one courageous person willing to completely quit their current job to pursue their lifelong passion. They will support your decision with a $100k prize to help get your dream off the ground.
“The goal of this promotion is to spread our Clothing for Positive Change philosophy,” said Jeff Haack, VP of Global Marketing at Prana. “By asking the question, ‘how can Prana help you affect positive change in your life’, we are giving our audience a means to share their stories about what positive change looks like for them.”
To apply, you must submit a one- to three-minute video detailing your current job and then your dream job. The more inspirational and original the story the better. Once selected, the winner will be asked to quit their day job and share updates along their journey. The $100,000 prize will be distributed in quarterly payments of $25,000 each. The entry period is August 15, 2019 to September 16, 2019. To be eligible you must be 21 years or older and a legal resident of the US.
For those not ready to fully quit their job but instead might want to take a little sabbatical, STōK cold brew coffee is paying $30,000 to three people to pursue a dream project. To enter, all you have to do is send an email to SToK@icfnext.com any time from now until Labor Day (Monday, September 2), with a maximum 300-word summary of what you do now for a living and what you wish you were doing if you had $30,000 to do it.
If you win, you must head out on your dream sabbatical of choice for 2–4 weeks sometime between October 1 and December 15, 2019. Along the way, you will be expected to capture and share your experience on social media using video and photos.
