For those who won’t settle for instant coffee when camping, bikepacking, or backpacking, Aeropress has come out with an even more travel friendly espresso maker. The Aeropress Go is engineered to provide all the same brewing capabilities of the original AeroPress plus a convenient drinking mug that doubles as a carrying case.
Like the original AeroPress, the AeroPress Go brews American, espresso, and cold brew style coffee. It brews smooth, rich coffee without the bitterness and high acidity you can expect from French press brewed coffee.
The AeroPress Go brews hot coffee in about 1 minute or cold brew coffee in around 2 minutes. With one pressing, you can make up to three servings of espresso style concentrate. You can enjoy a serving as espresso or add water or milk to create an 8 oz. coffee or latte. The way to fill the large AeroPress Go mug that is included is to brew two servings and then add water or milk to fill the mug with coffee or latte.
Compact, lightweight at 11.4 ounces or 323 grams, and durable, everything fits inside the mug for easy storage on your bike or in your pack. Up to 20 Micro-filters fit in the travel filter holder, so enough to see you through a longer adventure.
The AeroPress Go should start shipping by the end of October. You can pre-order the AeroPress Go now for $31.95 from the company website.
