After 26 years of snowboarding and over 10 years of working with R&D teams on designs and technologies, world class snowboarder Jeremy Jones is ready to launch his own dream line of snowboards. Based in Squaw Valley, CA, Jones Snowboards will cater specifically to freeriders. Just a few days ago, Jeremy quit working with Rossignol Snowboards, as I imagine there was a conflict of interest with him starting his own company.
"I have started Jones Snowboards to develop the highest performance all-mountain snowboards on the market," says Jones. "Freeride boards that reflect everything I've learned both on the snow and in the factory. Every snowboard we produce will be born of my passion and our designs will mirror the performance demands of my riding matched with the environmental demands of my conscience."
With prototypes in production, Swiss manufacturer Nidecker was chosen to engineer and manufacture Jones Snowboards. The first boards will make their debut at SIA and ISPO 2010 this winter and plan to be commercially available the following season.
