Naturally Bamboo is a company that specializes in natural bamboo fiber based ethical apparel. In 2007, April Femrite decided to create a clothing company that was both environmentally friendly and socially responsible. The Company's mission is to produce clothing that is made from USA based fair labor manufacturers and to operate with the lowest impact on the environment.
The collection offers comfortable, stylish and sustainable active lifestyle clothing. I wore the super cool t-shirt that says "Burn Fat Not Oil" and the arm warmers during one day of the Outdoor Retailer show. The fabric is so soft and I think feels better against your skin than even cotton. The pockets on the sleeves were handy for holding business cards as well.
So what is so great about bamboo clothing? Some key features which make bamboo great for active lifestyle apparel are that it is naturally anti-bacterial, absorbs moisture and dries twice as fast as cotton, provides warmth, and is a rapidly renewable resource.
April is a nature lover and mother of two young boys. She writes about living life as an outdoor family in Minnesota over on the Naturally Bamboo blog.
