The National Park Foundation has teamed up with Adler Fels Winery to create a charitable National Parks Wine Collection. For each bottle of wine you buy, $2.00 will go towards the Foundation, helping to protect and support America's National Parks. Drink up.

Hand Crafted from select lots of premium California varietals, the National Parks Collection wines are designed to appeal to a broad range of wine consumers. The two initial Yosemite red and white artisan blends feature iconic landscape photos by Mark Burns. Future bottlings will showcase collectible combinations of national park images and premium grape varietals, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Adler Fels Winery sits 1,500 feet above Sonoma Valley in the Mayacamas Mountains in Northern California. The winery features state-of-the-art fermentation tanks and storage for 700 wine barrels. Adler Fels also operates a modern wine production and bottling facility in Santa Rosa, California.

Yosemite Artisan Red is a full-bodied, fruit forward blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot and Petite Sirah. According to Adler Fels, this food friendly blend "pairs well with steak, grilled meats, grilled vegetables, aged cheeses, and chocolate." Yosemite Artisan White is an aromatic blend of Viognier, Moscato, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, best to "sip on a warm summer's day or to pair with seafood, salads, and roast chicken."

All wines are bottled using American-made, fully recyclable Nomacorc closures that help with wine preservation and cut down the chance of your wine being "corked". The Yosemite wines retail for $15.95 and can be purchased online from the National Parks Wine Collection website or at select stores across the country. I would love to see these wines come in pouch form, similar to Clif's Climber Wine, making them easier to enjoy outdoors.

So, next time you are looking to drink some wine, why not help support your National Parks in the process.
