Kitsbow Expands Into Women’s Mountain Biking Apparel

Kitsbow Women's Mountain Bike Shorts

Ever since Kitsbow launched their high-end mountain biking apparel line last fall, I have been anxiously awaiting the brand's branch out into women's gear. That day has finally come. Kitsbow recently announced the availability of the new Women's Soft Shell A/M Short, hopefully soon to be followed up by jerseys, jackets, and other apparel for a full women's all mountain apparel line.

Not your average looking mountain bike short, the Women’s Soft Shell A/M Short is understated and flattering with a tailored fit. Made from Schoeller-dryskin with a DWR-coating for water resistance, the mountain bike shorts are durable and abrasion-resistant, with a soft, lightly brushed interior.

No velcro or elastic here, just thoughtful design details such as reverse-engineered pockets, contrasting embroidery, and subtle reflective stripes. A tall, quilted waistband gives you all the coverage you need when riding while also aiding in ventilation of the lower back. The Italian-made RiRi locking slider snap keeps your mountain bike shorts secure around your waist.

The Women's Soft Shell A/M Short comes in two different styles (Straight and Curve) to better fit all female body types. The Straight short offers a more traditional in-saddle cut, closely tailored through the hips and thighs, while the Curve mountain bike short runs fuller through the hips, thighs, and seat.

All Kitsbow apparel is made in Vancouver, BC. Interesting to note, sizes are only available from 0-8 for the Straight Women's Soft Shell A/M Short and sizes 2-12 for the Curve Women's Soft Shell A/M Short. The $269 price is somewhat eye watering considering you will get the shorts muddy almost immediately.
