KEEN Clearwater CNX Hybrid Sandals Review

While testing women's SUP gear last fall, I took my KEEN Clearwater CNX sandals down to meet their birthplace in Clearwater, FL. Similar to the new Chaco NearGround collection, the KEEN CNX line has everything you love about KEEN footwear, but lightened up for your summer adventures. With an agenda full of SUP, bike riding, and beach walking, these hybrid sandals were put through their paces.

All you Chaco fans will be happy to hear about the company's latest footwear release just in time for your spring and summer adventures. The new NearGround Collection includes a line of men's and women''s sandals that feature the traditional Chaco webbing but are built on a more minimalist platform. Since last fall, I have been wearing the new Fantasia sandals for Stand Up Paddleboarding and the Fathom for around town and trips to the beach.

Áetem Creates The New Sport Of Seatrekking

Around two-thirds of the earth is covered by water, with coastlines among the greatest and most unexplored natural landscapes. German company Áetem has created a new sport called seatrekking with an aim to expand the scope of existing land activities to a variety of fascinating underwater and coastal trails. Unlike sea kayaking or canoeing, seatrekking is all about the reduction of gear and the possibility to explore both the water and land. Simple, unencumbered, and independent travel through the countryside.

Patagonia Reveals First Wetsuit Made From Renewable Material

Patagonia has partnered with clean technology company Yulex Corporation to create a wetsuit material made from plant-based renewable biorubber, the world's first alternative to traditional fossil-based neoprene. By nature of its production, neoprene is the most environmentally harmful part of creating a wetsuit. For years, Patagonia has looked at ways of cutting down on the amount of neoprene used in their wetsuits. The company has now found a viable solution.
