Tomorrow, I leave on an ice climbing trip to Iceland, so am frantically trying to finish packing. For a gear intensive sport and action packed trip, it’s hard to keep the balance between manageable weight and not forgetting anything. While not every single item is shown in the photo above and I won’t bore you with the details of each, the following are a few key pieces of gear I am psyched about.
Over the past year, at shows such as Outdoor Retailer and ISPO, I have previewed some pretty cool Fall/Winter 2010-2011 gear which has now finally been released. I thought I would share with you a select few of my favorite winter gear items-all of my favorite gear would take up too many pages! I have not personally tested every single item listed, however it is all gear I would love to buy.
One of my favorite companies from the Scandinavian Village at Outdoor Retailer had to be SKHOOP. Based in Åre, a village in the mountains of Sweden, SKHOOP has created a collection of insulated skirts, stuffed with either down or synthetic fill, that quickly zip on and off.
