Wahoo RFLKT+ Smart Bike Computer

Wahoo RFLKT+ Smart Bike Computer

Are you an iPhone addict with an ANT+ problem? The new Wahoo RFLKT+ Smart bike computer bridges the gap between all your ANT+ sensors and those iPhone apps you have come to know and love, all without the need for a separate dongle on your phone.

Building off the popular RFLKT platform, Wahoo added two critical pieces of functionality to the new RFKLT+ Smart bike computer. The first is of course ANT+ connectivity. You can now connect your power meter, heart rate strap, and speed and cadence sensors directly to your iPhone. The RFKLT+ takes the ANT+ signal from your sensors and converts it to Bluetooth Smart in order to be read by your iPhone and stored in your favorite apps like Strava.

For better elevation data than simply using the GPS on your phone, Wahoo also added a barometric altimeter to the RFKLT+. You can now gain a more accurate picture of your total elevation gain/loss for the day and even the current grade you are riding.

Much like the original RFLKT bike computer, the RFLKT+ is a reflection of your iPhone, with the application controlling everything you see on your bike computer screen. The RFLKT+ controls your iPhone remotely, managing both your music and your workout. Each button and screen layout is totally configurable, enabling you to see the exact data you want during your ride.

Wahoo is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to take pre-orders for the new RFLKT+. The company decided to go the Kickstarter route to gauge the real demand for an ANT+ bridge type product. If you are interested, head on over to the project page where for $100 you can be one of the first to get the RFLKT+ Smart bike computer.
