WaveCave Surfboard Bag Turn Beach Tent

WaveCave surf bag beach tent

New UK company WaveCave has created a surboard bag that transforms into a two person beach tent. Now you can spend all day at the beach surfing, fall asleep next to your boards with the sound of the waves, then be the first out on dawn patrol the next morning.

The WaveCave was invented by Jez Fry and product designer Marta Podhorski-Okolow. The pair came up with the idea while traveling through Australia and Indonesia, surfing and hanging out on numerous beaches.

The surfboard bag is made from a tough gore-tex exterior with 20mm of padding. The inner beach tent is formed from waterproof tarpaulin, fibreglass poles, and the latest waterproof breathable tent material. When not is use, the tent is stowed around the inside edges of the surfboard bag.

To erect the beach tent, simply unzip the bag and remove the tent flaps to clip into place. Pull the tent up over the bag and zip it up. The tent sleeps two people comfortably and up to three boards can be clipped to the inside wall of the WaveCave. During windy days, the beach tent can be pegged down for added safety.

The WaveCave comes in various sizes, depending on surfboard size and quantity, and retails for £159.99 to £199.99.
