Yesterday, Cycliq launched an already-funded-in-a-day Kickstarter campaign for their Duo Mount — a multi-functional bike mount that attaches both your bike computer and action camera. This time around, the Australian team that brought you the Fly6 and Fly12 set out to create something that would help declutter your handlebars without breaking the bank.
Cycliq originally created the Fly6 as a way to capture any incidents that may happen when you are out riding your bike–basically to be the eyes in the back of your head. Though it’s not going to exactly prevent accidents (although riding with a tail light can aid in visibility even during the day), the tail light camera can help you better understand and even prove what happened–not to mention capture some great ride video in the meantime. As car-bike incidents are sadly all too common here in the Bay Area, I thought it would be great to start riding with the Fly6 when out on the road.

For bike commuters, the bright light source helps you ride in all conditions and at all times of the day, while the front facing camera helps any type of cyclists capture and share an amazing ride experience or document that not so great one we all hope we never have.
