CamelBak Backcountry Hydration Backpack

CamelBak backcountry hydration backpack

CamelBak
is introducing two new backcountry hydration backpacks called the Pit Boss (for men) and the Roulette (for women). Engineered to hold enough gear for a full-day backcountry adventure, these are high volume, easy access packs. The new backcountry backpacks come in various men's and women's sizes and multiple color combinations.

Both the Pit Boss and Roulette feature a weather-resistant tri-zip design and adjustable carrying straps for your skis or board. The CamelBak design team worked hard to make sure the straps fit every size ski or board and were placed correctly in order not to make your backpack swing to one side when your skis were loaded.

The tri-zip design gives you easy access to all your gear, even the stuff shoved way down the bottom of the pack. The front pocket is great for holding your skins or even a shovel head if you don't want to use the special shovel sleeve in the main compartment. Side attachment points keep your shovel handle in place.

Some of the neat, more thought out features of the packs are the internal probe sleeve, fleeced lined goggle pocket and all zipper pulls or buckles have huge loops that are glove friendly. The packs can hold a hydration reservoir of up to 100 oz and the tube routing is all insulated in order to keep your drink tube from freezing.

The CamelBak Pit Boss and Roulette backcountry hydration backpacks will be available in September 2010 and will retail for $100.
