Starting in June, surf company Rusty will release their new Wired Series, a collection of hooded fleece and jackets for men and women with integrated machine washable headphones. The ear buds and wires are incorporated into the hood drawstrings and the front or side pockets hold the input jack for your iPod and cell phone.
The patent pending Hoodie Buddie technology comes from Jerry Leigh Apparel. Rusty is not the first company to launch a line of clothing with these integrated machine washable headphones. Since November, the technology has been licensed to a few other brands such as Paul Frank.
The Rusty Wired Series will include a traditional zip front hooded fleece in a variety of colors with simple logo detail, a mid-weight military-inspired style fleece with ribbed collars and shoulder tabs and a jacket-inspired zip fleece with quilted interior lining. All pieces feature the machine washable headphones with Rusty's signature R-dot logo and are compatible with your iPod or other mp3 player and cell phone.
"We are committed to providing differentiation in the marketplace and delivering products that fit our lifestyle. Rusty recently released an amazing recycled stretch fabric called Ecostretch and now we're setting ourselves apart again in Fleece with the Wired Series and Hoodie Buddie technology," said Charlie Setzler, President of Rusty North America.
The Wired Series will debut in June with six styles that range in price from $49.50 to $74.50.
