is ready to help you gear up for those hot summer rides on steaming asphalt with their new Avanti cycling apparel. The Avanti outfit integrates the high-tech Flash fabric engineered by Swiss company Eschler that offers fantastic moisture management and cooling properties. Throw all that in a vat of Schoeller Coldblack and you have the makings of the perfect summer cycling apparel.
FLASH Coldblack is Eschler's high-tech fabric ideal for cycling, running, triathlon or other outdoor apparel. The fabric is a complex double layer knit with hydrophobic polyester on the inside and hydrophilic polyamide on the outside. This double knit pulls moisture away from your body to the outer layer for quick evaporation, allowing the fabric to dry "in a flash".
The polyamide outer material doubles as great abrasion protection and is resistant to piling. Eschler added elastane to the Flash fabric to give garments a tight, yet comfortable and supportive compression fit. The company also threw in some carbon fiber to even further improve the cycling apparel's thermal regulation.
New for this summer season, Eschler brought the cooling properties of Flash fabric up a notch by adding Schoeller's Coldblack treatment. Utilized by Pearl Izumi and many other outdoor brands, Coldblack reduces the heat absorbency in dark colored textiles by up to 5ºC and guarantees a high-level of UV protection.
The Descente Avanti cycling apparel line includes men's and women's short sleeve jerseys, bibs and shorts.
