Award Winning Snaefell Jacket From 66ºNorth

Polartec continues to win awards for their new fabric technologies- first with Power Shield Pro in last year's Kishtwar Jacket from The North Face, and now with NeoShell in the new ISPO Award Winning Snaefell Jacket from 66ºNorth. The Snaefell Jacket takes a waterproof and highly breathable fabric, combined with innovative design details, to create the perfect alpine jacket for next winter.

Polartec's new NeoShell fabric is completely waterproof and blocks 99.9% of the wind. The remaining .01% represents the fabric's unique air permeability that ensures sweat won't build up inside your jacket, even when you are highly active. NeoShell makes less noise than a typical hardshell and gives you added stretch for more comfort when moving.

With articulated elbows and seamless shoulders, the Snaefell Jacket's high reach sleeves won't hike up as you go to swing your ice tool. The elongated back and drawstring hem keep the snow out of your jacket when riding or keep it from hiking up under your harness.

The Snaefell's swivel hood moves with your head, never blocking your peripheral vision. The hood cinches tight with adjustable drawstrings both around the face and at the back of your head. A visor on the hood shields you from spindrift, falling snow or even rain.

Design details include a two-way front zipper and two venting front pockets. A small card pocket towards the front of the left sleeve comes in handy if you are wearing your Snaefell Jacket skiing or snowboarding. A zippered inside pocket is perfect for storing your phone or wallet for the day.

The ergonomic cut of the Snaefell Jacket, coupled with the lightweight NeoShell fabric, means no added bulk or weight. The men's jacket weighs 514g, while the women's jacket weighs just 458g.

Both the men's and women's 66ºNorth Snaefell Jackets will come in red, yellow and black. There will also be matching Snaefell Pants made from Polartec NeoShell.
