Now that Spring has sprung, it's time to stow away those big puffy coats until next winter. You may, however, still require some lightweight insulation for those chilly mornings and evenings. Brooks Range Mountaineering has created the perfect transition season piece with their range of Cirro insulated jackets.
The lightweight (11.8-14 oz) Cirro jacket comes in three different styles, all filled with PrimaLoft One synthetic insulation that retains some of its warmth even when wet. The DWR treated Pertex shell will help to keep rain from actually hitting your insulation and will also shield you from the cold wind that still blows in Spring.
The full zipper Cirro Jacket comes with or without a hood, both with a full collar to help keep your neck warm. Two zippered hand pockets and a zippered stash chest pocket offer just enough storage space without weighing you down. The Cirro Anorak version features a hood, 1/2 zip, and insulated kangaroo pocket to keep your hands warm.
The Cirro jackets are available in three colors: red, blue or black, and retail for $189 (Cirro Hoody), $169 (Cirro Jacket) and $169 (Cirro Anorak Hoody). All insulated jackets are available from the Brooks Range Mountaineering website.
