As part of the Winter 2011 collection now hitting stores in Australia and New Zealand, Kathmandu is rolling out their new 3 in 1 Zip System for adaptable weather protection. Featured in a range of jackets, including the Parsenn Snow Sport Jacket and Isograd Rain Jacket, this unique layering system will keep you protected in rain, wind or snow this winter season Down Under.
The 3 in 1 Zip System works by zipping layers together to provide the versatility of three options in one jacket. The outer layer is a lightweight, waterproof, breathable, windproof shell that can be worn on its own or zipped together with an additional insulation layer for added warmth. The inner layer can also be worn on its own in more moderate conditions.
The outer Parsenn Snow Sport Jacket features a waterproof 2-way front zip and fleece lined chin guard for extra warmth and comfort. The adjustable hood can be removed and the snow skirt hooks into the belt loop of your snow pants to keep cold air and powder out. A zippered arm pocket includes a handy clip for your ski pass, while one of the zippered hand pockets houses a lens wipe for your goggles.
The inner Parsenn Snow Sport Jacket has a DWR finish to shed light rain and snow. Utilizing 100 grams of insulation through the body and 80 grams through the arms, this insulated jacket will help keep you warm on those cold winter days.
Similar to the snow sport jacket, the Isograd Rain Jacket features a fully waterproof outer jacket with roll away hood. In place of an insulated jacket, the inner fleece jacket can be worn on its own or zipped to the outer shell for extra warmth during your rainy hike.
Available for both men and women, the Parsenn Snow Sport Jacket retails for A$599.98 (A$479.98 for Summit Club members) and the Isograd Rain Jacket retails for A$499.98 (A$399.98 for Summit Club members).
