Timex Joins The Bike Computer Peloton

Timex Cycle Trainer 2.0 bike computer

A longtime sports watch supplier to outdoor adventurers, runners, and even triathletes, Timex had yet to deliver a cycling specific offering until now. The new Cycling Trainer 2.0 bike computer marries GPS functionality with performance data to provide even the most hardcore cyclist with all the training feedback they desire.

The Cycle Trainer 2.0 comes with a Timex Digital 2.4 heart rate sensor and Flex Tech strap. In order to further enhance your performance tracking, the bike computer also works with any ANT+ sensor to capture your heart rate, speed, cadence, and power output.

This GPS enabled device provides accurate speed and distance data, while tracking geographical coordinates along your route. The bike computer also delivers temperature information, as well as live elevation and grade data via an integrated barometric sensor.

The Cycle Trainer 2.0 can be set up to work hands free with Auto Start, Auto Split, Auto Stop, and Auto Resume functions. The device runs on a rechargeable Li-ion battery that will last for up 18 hours on a single charge.

Five different screens let you customize your desired display information, which can all be set up via the PC and Mac compatible Device Agent software. You can also upload all of your data to TrainingPeaks in order to further track and analyze your workout performance.

The Timex Cycle Trainer 2.0 bike computer comes with a two position bike mount, heart rate sensor, and retails for $250. An optional bike speed and cadence sensor retails for $60.
