Moving beyond just colors and fabrics for bag customization, Mission Workshop has launched a new line of modular field backpacks. Through a system of attachable and interchangeable accessories, the Arkiv pack can be constructed into your ideal bag for the day.
The new Mission Workshop Arkiv field backpacks are made from a super durable 1000 denier nylon exterior, with a weatherproof nylon liner to keep all your gear protected from the elements. Manufactured in the USA with military spec thread and waterproof zippers, these packs are extremely rugged.
Six different accessory cases of all different shapes and sizes can be attached to a variety of surfaces on the exterior of the Arkiv field backpack in order to customize your bag. Using a system of webbing rails on both the main pack and accessories, the cases slide securely into place and can be built up on top each other.
The interchangeable accessories include a roll-top foam case for your laptop, tool pocket, folio organizer, zippered cell phone pocket, a vertical cylindrical roll-top pocket great for a water bottle, and a vertical zipper pocket. Many of the larger cases provide a slot for storing your U-lock.
Your Arkiv field backpack can be used in either a roll-top or traditional flap down configuration. The main pack comes in two sizes: small (1200 cu. in. capacity) and large (2200 cu. in. capacity).
You can choose from black cordura, dark gray cordura, or a waxed canvas material for both your Arkiv pack and accessories. Mission Workshop is taking pre-orders for the Arkiv now (shipping starts mid-June), with a retail price of $209 for the small pack, $229 for the large pack, and accessories ranging from $28-$86.
