What happens when two American originals get together? Something magical happens. San Francisco based Timbuk2 unveiled a partnership with Pennsylvania based Woolrich, bringing together the best of urban and rural design to create a unique bag collection. Trolling through over 180 years of fabric swatches, Timbuk2 hand picked some classic plaids and patterns, together with some funky new-school Woolrich fabrics for the limited edition Timbuk2 Woolrich Made in America collection, sure to give you some certified outdoorsman cred on the streets this fall.
For the new Made in America collection, Timbuk2 introduces three styles, all handmade in Timbuk2’s manufacturing facility in San Francisco. Designed to be passed down through the generations just like your favorite Woolrich shirt, the limited edition collection includes the Classic Messenger, Swig Backpack, and Eula Mini Messenger.
The Timbuk2 Classic Messenger (pictured top), uses genuine Woolrich fabric in the standard three panel design. You can choose from a combination of red plaid and grey tweed wool, or a funky multi-color stripe with grey waxed canvas. The Made in America Classic Messenger model retails for $150.
The Timbuk2 Woolrich Swig Pack is a carry-all backpack style messenger, fully loaded with laptop compartment and various organization panels. The Swig comes in the same two fabric combinations and retails for $160.
Finally, the Eula Mini Messenger is a small but stylish bag for toting your iPad and other essentials around town. You can choose between red plaid or multi-color stripe fabric on the solid flap panel with a matching grey tweed wool or grey waxed canvas body respectively. The Timbuk2 Woolrich Eula Mini Messenger retails for $70.
The Timbuk2 Woolrich Made in America collection will be available starting November 1 from the Timbuk2 website and at select retailers, just in time for your holiday shopping.
