In case you missed the big news yesterday, GoPro released their latest mount. No, it’s not another mount for your helmet or a stick mount to take rad selfies, this time it’s for your dog. Called Fetch, a purpose-built dog harness features built-in, strategically placed camera mounts so you can watch as Fido digs, runs, swims, sniffs, and generally enjoys life.
The GoPro animal channels have always been some of the most popular, with people creating their own mount solutions for their pets. It was only a matter of time before the company came up with their own canine mounts. I don’t see why Fetch couldn’t be used on your cat, ferret, or pet pig as well.
The Fetch dog harness features two mount locations for your GoPro HERO camera—one on the back for over-the-head shots and another on the chest for a field of view closer to all the action. The mounts use a quick release base for easy on and off of the camera, while a tether can be used to secure your GoPro to the harness in case it should come unclipped during a particularly rough adventure.
The fully adjustable harness is designed to fit small dogs of 15 pounds (7 kilograms) to large breeds up to 120 pounds (54 kilograms). For extra small dogs, the chest mount can be removable to create a better fit. The Fetch harness is made of washable, water-friendly material and is padded for comfort wear by your dog.
The GoPro Fetch dog mount is available now for $59.99 from both GoPro and select retailers.
