Contour Roam3 Action Camera

Contour ROAM3

Contour is dead. Long live Contour. After being in and out of the game more than Michael Jordan, Contour has come back at full strength with the new ROAM3 action camera.

While not exactly a game changer, the Contour ROAM3 records video at 1080p at 30 frames per second or 720p at 60 frames per second. The 270-degree rotating lens enables versatile mounting options and saves you from the dreaded sideways video.

Featuring a waterproof and impact-resistant aluminum housing, the Roam3 comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (3-3.5 hours runtime), an 8GB memory card, and two low-profile flush rail mounts.

Other features include instant photo mode that can be set for single frame or multiple burst shots; built-in universal camera mount (¼”-20) compatible with all standard mounts and tripods; instant-on video record switch, and built-in laser level to ensure the right angle.

A locking switch keeps the camera from turning on or off accidentally and the aluminum housing is waterproof down to 30-feet depths without a case.

The best thing about Contour action cameras is that all you have to do is move the slider forward and you are instantly recording. No more questioning “is this thing on?” If you want to take a photo, just press the status button to switch to photo mode. Contour designed one of the most simple action cameras to operate so I am very happy to see them back in the game.

The Contour ROAM3retails for $199.99 and is available now.
