These Ski Poles Make That Pocket Flask Obsolete

WhiSki Poles

Whether you want a tipple for that après tailgate party or you want to store a little Bailey’s for that mid-run hot chocolate stop, these ski poles have you covered. You no longer have to carry around a pocket flask, as you can store up to 16 ounces of liquid in a pair of WhiSki Poles.

WhiSki Poles are high-performance ski poles with an integrated flask in the cavity of the pole. The poles utilize a standard ski pole handle with a screw off cap at the top of the pole.  The cap is simple to unscrew with a single gloved hand and a cap-strap ensures it is never dropped as you drink.

The 18mm diameter poles are made from a lightweight yet strong aircraft grade aluminum. Strong and lightweight, the all mountain poles are manufactured by the same factory that produces poles for some of the big names in the industry. In other words, these aren’t just a novelty item, but instead designed for performance and durability in addition to fun.

WhiSki Poles hold approximately 8 fluid ounces each, or a pint per a pair.  If you fill your poles with a liquid that may freeze, be sure to leave ample room for your liquid to expand (the brand recommends three inches from the top). In case you need to know, 70-proof alcoholic beverages freeze at -2 degrees F (-19 degrees C), windchill does not matter. Each pole weighs approximately 0.5 pounds when empty, or 0.9 pounds when filled.

The company wants you to know that WhiSki Poles are meant for skiing or drinking, not both at the same time, as skiing and consuming alcohol don’t mix. Safety first!

WhiSki Poles retail for $125, comes in five different lengths, and are available now from the company website. The poles ship with a collapsible silicone funnel.

  1. So… they’re a flask built into a ski pole, but they don’t encourage you to drink and ski at the same time. I’m confused; what else would you do with them?
