Sherpa Adventure Gear and KEEN teamed up to create a hiking boot that supports child literacy in Nepal. For every pair of KEEN Innate X Sherpa hiking boots sold, ten dollars will be donated to Room to Read from 9/08/19 and 11/15/19 (US sales only).
Room to Read is a non-profit that seeks to improve literacy and gender equality in education in developing countries around the world. KEEN will donate a minimum of $2,000 up to a $5,000 maximum.
The KEEN Innate X Sherpa limited-edition boot (MSRP $160) features an endless knot embossed into the waterproof Environmentally Preferred Leather upper. The boot also features the KEEN.Dry waterproof breathable membrane and a subtle Nepal flag inspired detail to the laces and heel loop.
The KEEN All-Terrain rubber outsole and four millimeter multi-directional lugs allow for higher traction grip for better stability. The stability shank and compression molded EVA midsole deliver lightweight support and cushioning. The breathable mesh lining and removable EVA footbed with arch support means all-day comfort and dryness on the trail.
“KEEN is excited to be partnering with Sherpa Adventure Gear on a product that will not only make a difference to Nepalese children’s literacy but also a product that is more environmentally sustainable. With PFC free water repellency, Eco-Anti-Odor control and Environmentally Preferred Leather, this product is consciously created to be kinder to our planet,” said Lisa Demarkis Business Unit Director Lifestyle.
The KEEN Innate X Sherpa hiking boots are available now from the KEEN website.
