Columbia Sportswear announced yesterday the launch of a new sports watch line. The high quality, functional watches will target outdoor enthusiast in the Trail, Water and Travel categories. Columbia teamed up with Texas watch design house Adao Global in order to develop the collection.
Each new Columbia sports watch features a robust, durable design with an outdoor aesthetic. Individual products within the line include various combinations of altimeters, barometers, compasses, thermometers, tidal reads, moon phases, sunrise/sunset predictor, ski timers, sail timers, hydration alarms, interval timers, lap memory and chronographs.
"Columbia is taking a leadership role in the outdoor industry by bringing meaningful and easy-to-understand performance attributes that deliver real benefits to a broad set of outdoor consumers. The watch and instrument category is a perfect place to extend this role," said Mick McCormick, executive vice president of global sales and marketing at Columbia Sportswear.
The sports watch line will consist of 10 styles in different feature combinations for a total of 36 watches. The new Columbia sports watches will soon be available in stores as well as from Columbia online.
