I have never quite figured out how to comfortably run with a phone. I would prefer to use Strava over a GPS watch to track my running stats but I don’t like running with something like an arm band either. Enter the Gear Quiver from Orange Mud–similar to a running vest but without the hydration element, this workout vest is perfect for shorter training runs or even mountain bike rides.
The Gear Quiver is a shoulder mounted pack designed to hold your electronics, keys, and snacks in a low profile, breathable, super light design. The shoulder straps feature 4-way-stretch pockets big enough to securely hold your gel packs, lip balm, or other small items.
A large rear cargo pouch is secured via a top sliding YKK zipper that you can access on the fly. Inside of the rear cargo is a pocket for big phones like your iPhone 6, iPhone 6+, Samsung Galaxy, and other large format phones with cases. Got an even bigger phone than that? Orange Mud added 20% over the iPhone 6+ sizing for the inside pocket.
Want to run with a tablet phone? The elastic rear cargo can hold that and also expands to hold jackets and more bulky items while still remaining low profile. A soft flask or water bottle can be put in the back in a pinch too.
A glove-like design ensures a comfy fit that won’t bounce around, while the short, padded back allows for plenty of airflow as you run. The workout vest weighs just 162 grams and uses reflective trim for low-light safety.
The Orange Mud Gear Quiver retails for $69.95 and is available now.
