The seemingly unstoppable Cotopaxi gets set to release yet another cool new product — this time a rugged pack purpose-built for adventure travel. The Allpa fits in the overhead bin, is loaded with travel-friendly features, and is tough enough to handle miles of abuse.
The Allpa is a 35-liter backpack system made from a combination of tough, TPU-coated 1000D polyester and durable 1680D ballistic nylon paneling. You will instantly notice the minimalist, sleek profile — no outer pockets, exposed buckles, or straps to snag and get in the way while you are constantly on the move.
The pack features a full center zip so it can lie open flat. The right side features a large, zippered mesh compartment to hold all your clothes. The left side is subdivided into two parts – a large compartment is topped with an organization panel for your smaller items and shoe or dirty clothes storage.
The back of the pack hides a padded laptop sleeve with additional tablet sleeve, while at the top of the pack, you’ll find a zippered pocket for storing your phone, wallet, keys, passport, and other quick access items.
In terms of security, all external zippers use a theft-proof webbing system to make it hard for thieves to secretly unzip your pack. There’s also a sewn-in carabiner loop on the hip belt’s webbing to lock the pack to bus rails or a fixed point.
When you need to stow or even check the Allpa, the shoulder straps and hip belt tuck safely behind the slotted back panel. Top, side, and bottom grab handles provide multiple carry points while the shoulder straps are tucked away.
In true Cotopaxi fashion, the company is running an Indiegogo campaign to take pre-orders for your adventure travel pack. You can get an Allpa for $130 at an early bird price, with delivery expected in July. You can also add on a bunch of accessories such as shoe sleeves and a water bottle holder.
