Suunto Core Extreme Edition Everest

SUUNTO Extreme Edition Everest

To commemorate Apa Sherpa's historic 20th summit of Mt Everest, Suunto is releasing a limited number of their new Core Extreme Edition Everest wristop computers. Apa Sherpa is a Suunto ambassador and widely regarded as one of the world's greatest mountaineers. I don't think anyone beat him at the loaded pack treadmill contest during Outdoor Retailer!

As a limited edition, Suunto will be producing only 8,848 models of the Extreme Edition Everest, correlating to the height in meters of Mt. Everest. Each wristop computer is numbered and features Apa Sherpa's signature on the back so you know it is authentic. On the front inside bezel of the watch you will also find the words "Everest Edition".

Suunto Core Extreme Edition Everest
The Core Extreme Edition Everest packs in an altimeter, barometer, compass, depth meter and storm alarm. Your altitude difference will be logged for the day so you can see the progress you have made. You can choose from multiple watch, date and alarm functions as well as see the sunrise/sunset times.

Despite all his climbing success, Apa Sherpa would trade it all in for a good education and a medical career. To provide the children of his community with other opportunities apart from climbing, Apa created the Apa Sherpa Foundation. The foundation strives to provide a solid education for all the children of Apa's hometown of Thame, Nepal. Suunto is donating a portion of every watch sold to the Apa Sherpa Foundation.

The Suunto Core Extreme Everest Edition will be released in September and retail for $429. Get ready to snap up one of the 8,848 available worldwide!
