Earlier this month, Küat Racks announced their new and improved NV 2.0 hitch-mounted rack. With an eye to quickly widening tires, the NV 2.0 now accommodates sizes up to 4.5 inches, while the redesigned wheel trays also allow for quick angle adjustments that enable you to stagger handlebar height, making it easier to mount two bikes together on the rack without banging into each other.
Similar to the original NV, the NV 2.0 can carry two bikes up to 60 pounds. The rack folds up quickly for storage and tilts down so you can get in the back of your Subaru with bikes on. The integrated cable lock system, together with the hitch lock provide for maximum security.
On the NV 2.0, Küat moved to new co-molded wheel straps, which now feature a softer material on the inside of the strap so that your expensive carbon wheels are no longer at risk of being scratched or marred by an over-tightened or loose strap. The new version also sports an updated appearance, where the durable, high-quality powder-coated finish is topped by a glossy protective clear coat to ensure its looks are far from fleeting.
The Trail Dock, a mobile repair stand that integrates into the rack, has also received major updates, making it even more versatile. And now an aftermarket base turns the Trail Dock into a fully capable standalone repair stand.
Available now, the NV 2.0 from Küat Racks retails for $629.
