Db Equipment Rolls Out New Bike Bag

Db Equipment

Just in time for all your summer cycling adventures, Db Equipment rolls out a new bike bag and line of accessories. Taking design cues from racing cars, the
versatile Savage Bike Bag will protect your entire quiver, from downhill mountain bikes to road bikes.

The Savage Bike Bag ($699) design was inspired by the roll cages used in racing cars to protect the driver in an accident. The Db Roll Cage as it is called, offers bomber protection against impact and pressure loads compared to a conventional soft bag. Working in conjunction with the roll cage, an internal aluminum frame protects your bike while simultaneously creating stability and structure for the bag.

The Savage weighs much less than a hard case bag (26 pounds) and can also be collapsed and rolled up for easy storage, where it can be compressed to 35% of its full size. The assembling and disassembling of the frame is quick and easy and requires no tools.

One bag fits all — the Savage is designed to fit any type of mountain bike from Freestyle bikes to Downhill- and plus size bikes. With the included Road Bike Handlebar Adaptor the bag will also handle any type of road bike with a curved, detachable handlebar. The generous length of the bag allow bikes with long wheelbases, up to 130 cm to fit inside the bag.

Your bike is mounted inside the self-standing roll cage in a centered, upright position and secured with straps. To keep your bike steady during transportation, all the bike straps feature buckles with locking levers, which prevent the straps from slipping and the bike from shifting position.

The Savage offers enhanced protection of the handlebar gear- and brake shifters. One end of the handlebar is protected by a padded pocket on the fork protector and the other end of the handlebar is protected by a separate handlebar protector.

The bike bag features integrated wheel compartments (designed for wheels from 26″ to 29″) with rigid PE-plastic boards and ABS rods to protect brake discs and spokes. You will also find internal stash pockets for pedals and tools.

The Db Equipment Savage Bike Bag retails for $699 and is available now from the company website.
